The History Department's Collaboratorium is an innovative blending of
Community-Engaged Scholarship (CES) designed to facilitate research partnerships between the University of Saskatchewan and community partners.

Rather than merely bringing research and analysis to communities (outreach), the Community Engaged Collaboratorium starts from the assumption that research projects should be co-designed and co-executed with communities. Through trustful relationships, faculty and mentored students work with community partners to co-create new knowledge that meets the highest academic standards while addressing intimate community needs.

To date the Community Engaged Collaboratorium has supervised more than 40 students working over a dozen projects for community partners like the City of Saskatoon, Flying Dust First Nations, and the Prince Albert Grand Council.
